Frequently Asked Questions
How long will my artwork take?
Please allow up to 8 weeks for your artwork to be completed and ready for delivery. Larger or especially detailed pieces may require additional time. If your piece is expected to take longer, I will let you know.
How do I send my reference photos?
Reference photos can be emailed directly to:
Clear, well-lit photographs are best. You are welcome to send several photos so I can choose the references that will work best for your painting.
Can you work from older or imperfect photographs?
Yes. I understand that some of our most meaningful photographs are not necessarily our best photographs. I can often work from older, lower-resolution, or multiple reference images to create a finished portrait. Please contact me if you are unsure about the photos you have.
Can I request changes or special details?
Absolutely. Custom artwork is meant to be personal. We can discuss clothing, backgrounds, colors, meaningful objects, flowers, locations, or other details you would like incorporated into your piece.
What sizes are available?
I offer artwork in a variety of sizes, from smaller intimate portraits to large statement pieces. Available sizes and pricing can be found on the ordering page. Larger custom sizes may also be available upon request.
When is payment due?
Commissioned artwork requires a deposit to reserve your order and begin the process. Any remaining balance must be paid before the completed artwork is shipped or at the time of pickup, as applicable.
Do you accept returns or offer refunds?
Because commissioned artwork is created specifically for you, custom pieces are non-refundable and cannot be returned.
Do you ship?
Yes. Artwork can be shipped within the United States. Shipping costs vary depending on the size and destination of the piece. Local pickup can also be arranged when available.
